The Nomad

The Nomad is a power wheelchair with adaptability including: Penny & Giles technology, built in horn, 5 pre-set speed controls, automotive style seats, reclining seat back 3 sizes (18", 21", and 24") steel reinforced arm rests, standard lap belt with optional 4 point harness, rear anti-tip wheels

Transportation 

The Nomad requires a trailer/mounting hitch and ramps.

Pros

Handle hiking trails that most wheelchairs will not depending on comfort of rider, Designed to use on pavement, hiking trails, and most beaches, Optional balloon tires for beach use, 6-8 hours usage on full charge at 5 mph, anti-tip wheels

Cons

Heavy, expensive, difficult to transport, especially if battery dies on trail or a tire leaks air, no onboard storage

Maintenance: 

Maintain consistent air pressure in tires and contact outdoor extreme mobility for all other maintenance. Clean with a water hose, but use light mist on the motor and battery.

Transfers: 

Lift systems are recommended for organizations assisting with transfers depending on the users ability to transfer independently.
