The Joëlette

The Joëlette is an all-terrain one-wheeled chair that enables any person with reduced mobility or disability, children or adults, to get involved in hiking excursions or running activities with the help of at least two guides. Adaptability options include: headrest, secure 4-point harness, right/left panniers, armrest extensions, pair of side handles, storage bag, foot pump, carry case, repair kit, bottle holder, e-joëlette with power assist, and Joëlette twin with two wheels.


Transportation:

The chair folds to fit easily in the trunk of a car for transportation.

Pros

Designed for people with limited arm and upper body strength, able to hike any terrain depending on the people assisting ability, optional two wheel for more stability.


Cons

Requires one or more people to push and/or pull rider, unable to maneuver independently, requires transfer to users wheelchair for bathroom accessibility.


Maintenance:

recommend an overall inspection before every use, clean with water and a cloth, maintain tire pressure, contact distributor or see user manual for other issues. 


Transfers: 

Lift systems are recommended for organizations assisting with transfers depending on the users ability to transfer independently.
