FreeWheel

Additional Information

The Freewheel is a product that attaches to manual wheelchairs to lift front wheel casters and turn into a 3 wheeler allowing for easier access to roll over dirt trails, grass, curbs, gravel, snow, and sand. FreeWheel will NOT work on Flip-up Footplates/Footrests.

Transportation:

Attach the included perch onto the crossbar behind seat back and clamp FreeWheel onto it to stow when not using.

Specifications:

FreeWheel clamps onto chair, may require customization if footrest is over 4 ¾ inches, if the angle of footrest is more than 12% freewheel may not work, large front wheel has less resistance than small casters, Detent: keeps front wheel straight to improve stability and handling but slight pressure will release it allowing to quickly and easily turn.
