Access Trax is a product made from durable, recyclable, UV stable HDPE plastic for wheelchair long term or temporary access mats for sand, gravel, dirt, mulch, and grass.

Pros

Easy to transport, great for beach access, great for accessibility through construction and while awaiting trail maintenance, allows easier access for everyone


Cons

Does not work as a ramp or bridge, requires many mats for larger spaces which is expensive, slippery when wet, Owner is working on non slip surface

Low maintenance, may require repositioning due to change in terrain

Case Studies

An adaptive sports nonprofit called Dare2Tri based in Chicago has different events and travels around the country with their athletes to different triathlons. They use the Access Trax for access over sand at the swim portion of a triathlon and also over grass and other terrain for the general triathlon course depending on the venue.

A review/email from a National Park in Guam. They use the mats over sand at their park: War in the Pacific National Historic Park.
